Even though the motivations behind its creation were at the very least, relatively right...
There are several things wrong with both the software and its author, the latter of which I shall not elaborate here.
Is there a good reason to block all users from your site? Let alone having to require JavaScript enabled in the browser for the other (maybe) properly paranoid people? If you really want to block the nasty AI crawlers, you do that at the *firewall* level, even going against whole ASNs if completely neccessary.
As for my own reason to not use it, despite having a Gitea and other version control systems around, is either system authentication or HTTP Basic Auth (for SVN), and requiring to be logged in, in the case of Gitea.
I'm actually considering to take down the web frontends for CVS and Mercurial at some point or something, or going all-out, track the IP address, get the subnet, and kill them off.
